Notification connector

Coming soon

Cost work as Jira tickets your team can action.

A Jira connector is on the CloudMonitor roadmap. It will turn anomalies and savings recommendations into Jira issues, with the owner, the evidence, and the projected saving attached.

FinOps only sticks when the work lands in the same queue as everything else. The Jira connector will push anomalies and recommendations into Jira as tickets, complete with the context an engineer needs, so a saving becomes a tracked task rather than a line in a report nobody owns.

  • Will create Jira issues from anomalies and savings recommendations.
  • Will attach the owner, the evidence, and the projected annual saving.
  • Will push recommendations in bulk, not one at a time.
  • Will keep an audit trail of which items were actioned, dismissed, or applied.

What gets pushed

A recommendation, with the saving attached.

Each ticket will carry the projected annual saving, the resource and cost group behind it, and the evidence CloudMonitor used, so an engineer can pick it up and act without chasing context across tools.

  • Anomalies and recommendations as Jira issues
  • Owner, evidence, and projected saving on every ticket
  • Bulk push for a whole batch of recommendations

Closing the loop

Track the decision, not just the alert.

CloudMonitor will record which recommendations were accepted, dismissed, or marked applied, and the reason, so the Jira ticket and the cost report stay in step instead of drifting apart.

  • Audit trail of accept, dismiss, or apply
  • Cost group and owner carried into the ticket
  • Webhook available today for ServiceNow, Freshdesk, and more

A recommendation that lives in a FinOps dashboard rarely gets done. The Jira connector will push anomalies and savings recommendations into Jira so the work joins the backlog your engineers already groom, with the owner, the evidence, and the projected saving on the ticket.

This connector is in planning. In the meantime, the webhook connector available today can already open Jira issues through any integration platform or middleware you run. If native Jira matters to your rollout, the beta team would like to hear how your projects and issue types map to teams.
